Hello, I’m Danette! With over 20 years of experience in caring for pets belonging to friends and family, I have turned my lifelong passion for animals into a fulfilling profession. I founded Danette’s Comfy Critters to create a space where pets are treated like family, and over time, this venture has blossomed into something truly beautiful.

I am a licensed and insured pet sitter with a solid background in veterinary assistance, which equips me with the knowledge and skills to provide top-notch care for your beloved pets. As a certified Pet First Aid and CPR provider, the safety and well-being of your furry friends are my top priorities.

At home, I share my life with my wonderful husband, Steve, along with our 5 dogs, 2 cats, and a bearded dragon. Our home environment is calm and nurturing, and we are excited to extend that love and care to your pets. Together, we have the experience and dedication to provide a safe and comfortable home away from home for your furry companions.

I believe in personalized care and foster a loving atmosphere for all pets entrusted to me. This approach, combined with a commitment to patience and understanding, ensures that both owners and pets feel secure and cared for. I am here to make sure your pets receive the best while giving you peace of mind during your time away.

Meet And Greet

Meet and greets are an important part of the process of booking a pet sitter because they provide an opportunity for both the pet owner and the pet sitter to get to know each other and assess whether they are a good fit for each other and the pet. It gives me a chance to meet the pet(s), and for us to get familiar with each other.If you want to do doggie daycare or a slumber party, the meet and greets take place at our home in Crystal River. If you are wanting housesitting or drop-in visits, the meet and greets take place in your home. Regardless of services needed, a meet and greet is required.The meet and greets typically last 30-45 minutes and is of no charge to you.
